Interesting news about the resignation of the South West District President, the secretary and yet more churches going under supervision. Our information comes from the seat of all power, the NEC who has at least one concerned member.
This the same district that former Minister Margaret Preece, a highly respected spiritualist, was once apart of before resigning her ministership in protest at the way the SNU behaved when it interfered with a church’s committee.
A Swindon also had a lock out by the NEC over a minor issue that the NEC had to back down on by reinstating the committee members it had removed. It appears that NEC imposed supervision is now in place at Swindon and is being carried out by Minister Marion Bishop.
The General Secretary, Charles Coulston, has a tendency to try to suppress information getting out by forbidding Chairmen at meetings from allowing members free discussion on matters the NEC has involved itself in.
