New Trust Property Co-ordinator

A quote from the SNU – We now have in place as Trust Property co-ordinator Mr Andy Foley, Andy has a great deal of experience working with property especially old and listed property. He will of course be working closely with our Head of Governance Jane Mars and our Church Relations co-ordinator Matthew Mold. We are now building a team of experts that can help our churches to function better and be places that people want to visit. Andy will be visiting all our churches as a matter of priority.

We will have to wait and see at what cost to the churches the team of experts will come. It will be interesting to see how many committees do not embrace some of the changes.

Minister Jackie Wright

Welcome to the third female SNU President. Jackie Wright from Middlesborough is promising change, but we suspect that the SNU juggernaut will not deviate as it wanders slowly to its demise and stifle her ambition.

Perhaps somebody has the latest Individual Membership numbers, so we can measure her success.

Whilst you are at it, can you add the number of churches – excluding Aberdare which closed under her watch.

Aberdare (former SNU) Spiritualist Church

An EGM was held at Aberdare SNU Church, but a committee could not be formed, so the SNU NEC had to agree to the closure of the church. Aberdare closed its doors as a SNU church in February 2023.

Happily for the good residents of Aberdare and district, a church re-opened as Four Seasons Spiritual Pathway, guided by Colin and Mia. Hearty congratulations to the group for breaking away from the cloying SNU restraints and its money drain. Early reports suggest that attendance is strong.
